Subject: Proposal to conduct a “Young Brigade – Gen-Z” meeting to strengthen and mobilize Seva Dal programmes.
Submitted under the supervision of Tella Shravan Kumar (State President) and Chippalapally Madhu (State Treasurer).

Respectfully submitted for conducting a dedicated “Young Brigade – Gen-Z” meeting under the banner of the Indian National Congress Seva Dal, with the objective of strengthening Seva Dal programmes and creating greater opportunities for young people to participate in social service, community engagement, leadership development, and organizational activities.

Objectives of the meeting

  1. Mobilize Gen-Z youth

    Encourage their active participation in Seva Dal activities.

  2. Introduce young volunteers

    To the values, objectives, traditions, and service-oriented activities of Seva Dal.

  3. Build the Young Brigade

    A strong, organized brigade at local, district, state, and national levels.

  4. Encourage community welfare

    Youth participation in social service and welfare programmes.

  5. Develop skills

    Leadership, communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities.

  6. Use digital platforms

    Modern communication to connect with and engage the younger generation.

  7. Identify committed volunteers

    Young people who can lead future Seva Dal programmes.

  8. Design youth-oriented programmes

    Innovative activities relevant to Gen-Z interests and aspirations.

  9. Enable regular interaction

    A structured mechanism between Seva Dal leadership and young volunteers.

  10. Plan an annual calendar

    Of youth-focused Seva Dal service and community programmes.

Expected outcome

The meeting is expected to establish a strong, disciplined, service-oriented and digitally connected Young Brigade, enabling Seva Dal to expand its outreach among the younger generation. It will give Gen-Z volunteers a platform to contribute their ideas, technology skills, creativity, energy, and leadership to meaningful community-service initiatives.

Request for approval

In view of the above objectives, we kindly request the concerned Seva Dal leadership to grant permission and extend necessary support for organizing the proposed Young Brigade – Gen-Z Mobilization Meeting — an important first step towards a structured and sustainable Gen-Z engagement programme for Seva Dal.
